Recap: Joaquin Rams vs. Redwater Dragons
The Joaquin Rams were the 62-36 winner over the Redwater Dragons when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Joaquin took a 64-50 bruising from Redwater on Thursday. Joaquin has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Redwater was led to victory by Marquez Jones and Tyris Crowell. Jones scored 16 points along with 6 assists and 3 steals, while Crowell dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Crowell has scored at least 25% of Redwater's points. Another player making a difference was Carson Wheat, who scored 10 points along with 7 rebounds.
Joaquin's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Redwater, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.
Joaquin will square off against Elysian Fields at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Elysian Fields presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Joaquin in Texas (Elysian Fields is ranked 423rd, while Joaquin is ranked 944th). Redwater is on the road again on Friday and play against Martins Mill at 9:15 a.m. on December 8th. Martins Mill will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
