Recap: Holy Child Gryphons vs. Rye Country Day Wildcats
The Holy Child Gryphons's three-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They managed a 46-41 win over Rye Country Day. The score was all tied up 17-17 at the break, but Holy Child was the better team in the second half.
Sophia Concepcion was on fire: she scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alessia Paladino, who scored eight points.
Holy Child's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Rye Country Day, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Child will take on Millbrook School at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Millbrook School's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Rye Country Day, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greenwich Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
