Basketball Recap: Li'ara Stephenson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Dutchtown over Morrow

Dutchtown lost against Morrow back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Dutchtown Bulldogs took a 55-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Morrow Mustangs. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dutchtown lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Li'Ara Stephenson, who posted 12 points. Tinaya Howell was another key player, putting up four points.

Dutchtown's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Morrow, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.

Dutchtown and Morrow should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Dutchtown (ranked 119th) will meet Banneker (ranked 350th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Morrow will square off against Northgate at 6:00 p.m. on Friday up 233 places (37 vs. 270).
