Volleyball Recap: Falls City Comes Up Short

Falls City lost against Lourdes Central Catholic back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Falls City was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Lourdes Central Catholic work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-14, 28-26.

Falls City's offense was headlined by Bella Johansen and Liv Buckminster, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Leah Goff and her nine assists.

Falls City's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Lourdes Central Catholic, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-6.

Coincidentally, Falls City and Lourdes Central Catholic will both be playing Syracuse the next time they take the court. The Tigers will host the Rockets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Knights will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
