Football Recap: Riverheads Starts Season with Win Against Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy + How To Watch

Riverheads gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They breezed past the Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys to the tune of 49-0. Given the Gladiators' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Ospreys are ranked 266th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Coming up, Riverheads will head out on the road to take on Altavista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, they will challenge Auburn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
