Basketball Recap: Nacogdoches Comes Up Short

Nacogdoches was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Texas Tigers, falling 65-28. The Dragons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-8.

Nacogdoches' loss dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Texas, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-11.

Nacogdoches will head out on the road to face off against Mt. Pleasant at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Texas, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Texas Tigers challenge the Tyler Lions at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Texas knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Tyler likes a good challenge.
