Tooele won against Murray last Friday with 16 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. Tooele blew past the Cottonwood Colts 16-1. The win continues a trend for the Buffaloes in their matchups with the Colts: they've now won seven in a row.

Jaelyn Woods looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Tooele got a massive performance out of Hunter Culley, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. Ashton Shields also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Tooele kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 11.2.

Tooele's record is now 5-7. As for Cottonwood, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
