Recap: Naples Golden Eagles vs. Parrish Community Bulls
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Naples Golden Eagles had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Parrish Community at home to the tune of 42-0. Considering Naples has won seven contests by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Shawn Simeon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 253 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.3 yards per carry. Simeon's longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards. Another player making a difference was Martavion Young, who rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Naples has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Parrish Community, they have yet to win a game on the road this season, leaving them with a 7-4 record.
Naples' homestand continues as they prepare to take on Port Charlotte at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th. One thing working in Port Charlotte's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last six matchups. Parrish Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
