Arlington has gone a perfect 3-0 against Lakeside recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Lions will venture away from home to take on the Lancers at 3:15 p.m. Arlington's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so Lakeside's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

While Arlington's victory against Poly wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions had just enough and edged out the Bears 2-0.

Meanwhile, Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of Liberty.

Arlington pushed their record up to 19-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lakeside, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-17.

Everything went Arlington's way against Lakeside in their previous matchup back in April, as Arlington made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
