Basketball Recap: Wilde Lake's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Wilde Lake blew Mt. Hebron out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday Mt. Hebron got their revenge. The Wilde Lake Wildecats fell just short of the Mt. Hebron Vikings by a score of 66-64. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wildecats have suffered since January 5, 2024.

Wilde Lake lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Noah Brazil, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. Brazil's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasiah Hyson, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 17 points and five boards.

Wilde Lake's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-4. As for Mt. Hebron, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Wilde Lake has already played their next game, an 82-68 victory against Long Reach on the 24th. Mt. Hebron has also already played their next match (against Oakland Mills), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
