Softball Game Preview: Camden Hills Windjammers vs. Mt. Ararat Eagles

The Camden Hills Windjammers will face off against the Mt. Ararat Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither Camden Hills nor Mt. Ararat posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Camden Hills is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Medomak Valley just ended the team's nine-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Windjammers have suffered since April 28th.

Camden Hills saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adriana Pedro, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Mt. Ararat came up short against Bangor on Monday, falling 14-1. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Camden Hills' loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Mt. Ararat, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Camden Hills skirted past Mt. Ararat 3-2 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Do the Windjammers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
