Baseball Recap: Fairmont Comes Up Short

Fairmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Pauls Bulldogs. The Golden Tornadoes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Fairmont saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kenley Callahan, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Fairmont's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for St. Pauls, they pushed their record up to 7-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

While Fairmont had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
