Volleyball Game Preview: Westwood Warriors vs. Red Mountain Mountain Lions

The Westwood Warriors will head out to face off against the Red Mountain Mountain Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westwood is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

On Wednesday, Westwood got the win against McClintock by a conclusive 3-0.

Westwood was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-20, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Red Mountain hadn't done well against Mesa recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Mountain Lions had just enough and edged out the Jackrabbits 3-2.

Red Mountain's record now sits at 16-11. As for Westwood, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-8.

Westwood came out on top in a nail-biter against Red Mountain in their previous meeting on Thursday, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
