Softball Game Preview: Pacifica Tritons vs. Dos Pueblos Chargers

Pacifica hasn't had much luck against Dos Pueblos recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Pacifica Tritons will head out on the road to face off against the Dos Pueblos Chargers at 3:30 p.m. Pacifica has given up an average of 10.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Friday just wasn't the day for Pacifica's offense. They lost 13-0 to Oxnard on Friday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Tritons were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Dos Pueblos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Buena. That's two games in a row now that the Chargers have lost by just one run.

Kacey Hurley was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. Anna Gray also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Pacifica now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Dos Pueblos, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Pacifica might still be hurting after the 13-0 loss they got from Dos Pueblos in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Pacifica avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
