Baseball Recap: North Pike Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact North Pike can now relate to. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-2 to the East Central Hornets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Jaguars haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

North Pike's loss dropped their record down to 20-12. As for East Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-13 record this season.

North Pike does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Central, they will take on Florence at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
