Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Prairie). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Hempstead Mustangs 63-20. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Mustangs are ranked 135th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Prairie and bumps their season record up to 4-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points over those games. As for Hempstead, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Coming up, Prairie will venture away from home to take on Cedar Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. As for Hempstead, they will challenge Dubuque Senior at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
