Volleyball Recap: Chesapeake Beats Rock Hill for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Chesapeake entered their tilt with Rock Hill on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Redmen 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Chesapeake was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-9, 25-16.

Bre Scarberry went supernova, getting 15 digs and five aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Erin Wood, who had three digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Chesapeake was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive matchups.

Chesapeake's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Rock Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.

Chesapeake will welcome Oak Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rock Hill, they have already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Clay on the 17th.
