Volleyball Recap: East Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Eastern, East was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the St. Joseph Central Flyers 3-0. The Tartans not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 28, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

While East won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-19, 25-22.

Jocelyn Carter paced East's offense, picking up seven kills. Carter got some help from Emily Feltner and her 11 assists. Carter also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Natali Hoskins, racking up four apiece.

East's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for St. Joseph Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East will head out to take on Green at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Joseph Central, they will venture away from home to face off against Notre Dame at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Flyers surely won't give up without a fight.
