Baseball Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

Heritage fell victim to First Presbyterian Day and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 9-0 to the First Presbyterian Day Vikings. The loss continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost six in a row.

Heritage got a good showing from Thomas Strickland, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, Strickland posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

Heritage's record is now 2-7. As for First Presbyterian Day, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Heritage is taking a road trip to square off against John Milledge Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for First Presbyterian Day, they will host Deerfield-Windsor at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (First Presbyterian Day 2.5, Deerfield-Windsor 1.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
