Softball Recap: Bacon Academy Takes a Loss

Bacon Academy extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 5-11 in the process. They came up short against the RHAM Raptors, falling 19-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raptors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-5 back in April.

Lily Pulse made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Reina Hill, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

As for RHAM, they pushed their record up to 10-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games.

On RHAM's side, Mya Strumskas was incredible, going 3-for-5 with five RBI and three doubles.

Looking ahead, Bacon Academy will look to defend their home field on Monday against Griswold at 4:00 p.m. As for RHAM, they will square off against Edwin O. Smith at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Raptors will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
