Volleyball Recap: Middleburg Comes Up Short

The Middleburg Broncos came up short against the Berkeley Prep Buccaneers on Friday and fell 2-0. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21.

Camden Rahn paced Middleburg's offense, picking up seven kills. Rahn were helped by Allie Anschuetz and Hannah Gorneault, who contributed seven assists each. Anschuetz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Middleburg now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Berkeley Prep, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Middleburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Westminster Christian on the 29th. As for Berkeley Prep, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Hoover on the 29th.
