After a string of six wins, the Mt. Zion Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were beaten by Greenforest 98-41. While losing is never fun, Mt. Zion can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 351st, while the Eagles are ranked 17th).

Mt. Zion's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Greenforest, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.
