Basketball Recap: L'Anse Creuse Takes a Loss

If L'Anse Creuse was feeling good fresh off their 40-16 takedown of Lake Shore last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The L'Anse Creuse Lancers were beaten by the Utica Eisenhower Eagles 77-23 on Monday. The contest marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Despite the loss, L'Anse Creuse saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Allison Tuladziecki posted 13 points and three steals.

L'Anse Creuse has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Utica Eisenhower, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Coming up, L'Anse Creuse will head out on the road to square off against Roseville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Roseville will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something L'Anse Creuse surely won't give up without a fight. As for Utica Eisenhower, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Grosse Pointe South at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Utica Eisenhower's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten contests.
