Basketball Recap: Trinity Classical Drops Season-High Score on Eastgate Life Academy

Trinity Classical was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-42 heartbreaker at the hands of Eastgate Life Academy. One positive for Trinity Classical, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Eastgate Life Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lily Moody led the charge by putting up 14 points. Another player making a difference was Neely Anderson, who went 6 for 14 en route to 16 points and eight rebounds.

Trinity Classical's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Eastgate Life Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Trinity Classical will be playing in front of their home fans against Old Suwanee Christian at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th. As for Eastgate Life Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-22 victory against Philadelphia Christian School on the 31st.
