Baseball Recap: Glenbrook Victorious

Glenbrook proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 20) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Loyola College Prep Flyers 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Apaches have posted since May 7, 2024.

Glenbrook saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Easton Sanders, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances. Glenbrook is 2-1 when Sanders posts two or more runs, but 4-6-1 otherwise. Dawson Day was another, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with one RBI.

Glenbrook's victory bumped their record up to 6-7-1. As for Loyola College Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4-1.

Coming up, Glenbrook will face off against North DeSoto at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. North DeSoto will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Glenbrook surely won't give up without a fight. As for Loyola College Prep, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against South Beauregard at 4:00 p.m. Loyola College Prep's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so South Beauregard's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
