Baseball Recap: Ripon Comes Up Short

After flying high against Berlin on Tuesday, Ripon came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the Central Wisconsin Christian Crusaders by a score of 7-6 on Thursday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Braden Dudzinski was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Ripon's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Central Wisconsin Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ripon will head out to take on Winneconne at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Wisconsin Christian, they will venture away from home to square off against Montello at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Hilltoppers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.67 runs per game on average), something the Crusaders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
