Softball Recap: Forestview Jaguars vs. Kings Mountain Mountaineers
Forestview extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 4-12. They lost 10-0 to the Kings Mountain Mountaineers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mountaineers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-0 back in March.
As for Kings Mountain, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games.
For Kings Mountain's part, Addison Carpenter was incredible, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Ezra Lynn was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Looking ahead, Forestview will host Crest at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season. As for Kings Mountain, they will venture away from home to take on CHASE at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
