Softball Recap: Gorham Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Gorham barely beat Massabesic the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams didn't even let the Mustangs on the board on Tuesday, marking the Rams' second-straight 12-0 shutout. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

Bella McBrady made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sawyer VonderHaar, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Kylee Lebrun, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Gorham always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .724. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Gorham pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Massabesic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
