Baseball Recap: Giles Comes Up Short

If Giles was feeling good fresh off their 15-3 takedown of George Wythe on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans lost 12-2 to the Auburn Eagles on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 16-0 loss back in April.

Giles saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Thwaites, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Giles' loss dropped their record down to 6-13-1. As for Auburn, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-1.

As of now, neither Giles nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
