Volleyball Recap: Heritage Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Heritage Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Mount Calvary Christian Academy Warriors. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14, 25-17.

Mount Calvary Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dakota Honeycutt, who had seven aces. Riley Tuten was another key player, getting five aces.

Heritage Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mount Calvary Christian Academy, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Heritage Christian Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Ahoskie Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mount Calvary Christian Academy will challenge rival Terra Ceia Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
