Puyallup has gone 8-2 against South Kitsap recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Vikings will challenge the Wolves at 3:30 p.m. Puyallup is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.
Puyallup took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Curtis as they made off with an 18-2 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Puyallup considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Ella Williams made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Amori Hargrove, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, three doubles, and four RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kayla Ringenbach, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Puyallup was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .629. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, South Kitsap narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Sumner 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wolves have posted against the Spartans since May 3, 2019.
Reagan Dale was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.
The victory made it two in a row for South Kitsap and bumps their season record up to 6-7. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Puyallup, they moved to 9-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Puyallup hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .361. However, it's not like South Kitsap struggles in that department as they've averaged .346. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
