Meanwhile, Buford suffered their closest loss since December 6, 2023 on Saturday. They fell just short of North Central by a score of 60-57. The Yellow Jackets have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Buford's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Cheraw, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Everything came up roses for Cheraw against Buford in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 68-39 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cheraw since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
