Lake Station Edison and Calumet New Tech are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Fighting Eagles will square off against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Lake Station Edison will be strutting in after a win while Calumet New Tech will be coming in after a defeat.

Lake Station Edison took a 17-run loss the last time they faced off against Calumet Christian, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Fighting Eagles had just enough and edged out the Patriots 10-8. The Fighting Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Calumet New Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 16-3 to Hammond Academy of Science & Tech, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Calumet New Tech's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lake Station Edison, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.

Lake Station Edison came out on top in a nail-biter against Calumet New Tech when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Do the Fighting Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
