St. Stanislaus came tearing into Saturday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Vancleave Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 57-38. Given the Rock-a-Chaws' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 270th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

St. Stanislaus has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Vancleave, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

St. Stanislaus will head out to challenge Hancock at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Vancleave, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-39 loss against Perry Central on the 16th.
