Football Game Preview: Trivium Prep Crimson Knights vs. Phoenix Christian Cougars

Two dominant backs in William Kelley and Aaron Whitten are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Trivium Prep Crimson Knights will challenge the Phoenix Christian Cougars at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Trivium Prep's offense might be in the hot seat on Saturday considering what happened against Tanque Verde last Thursday. They were dealt a 38-0 defeat at the hands of the Hawks. Having soared to a lofty 49 points in the game before, the Crimson Knights' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Phoenix Christian put another one in the bag last Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Santa Cruz Valley 34-14. Give the Cougars' offense some serious credit: that high-scoring performance was actually the fewest points they've scored all season.

Trivium Prep better focus on containing Kevin Palafox and Z'Yeon Rondan as the pair were huge in Phoenix Christian's win. Palafox rushed for 94 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries, while Rondan rushed for 88 yards and one TD. That's the most rushing yards Palafox has posted since back in October of 2024. Cashis Grimwade also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

Phoenix Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Trivium Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 4-1.
