Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Castle View

Castle View won against O'Connor on Tuesday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Castle View Sabercats walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Willow Canyon Wildcats. The win was familiar territory for the Sabercats, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Keyan Lundvall made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tommy Feldhake, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Derek Gordon, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Castle View's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Willow Canyon, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Castle View will square off against Golden at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Willow Canyon, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-2 win against Damonte Ranch on the 19th.
