While Franklin County didn't have the best season last year (they finished 15-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Pickens Dragons by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won four matchups in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Pickens lost, don't look at Sheila Flores. Despite the final result, she had eight digs and two aces.

Franklin County's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Pickens, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

Franklin County will be playing at home against Habersham Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pickens, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Union County on the 21st.
