Softball Recap: St. Pius X Takes a Loss

St. Pius X and Lovington squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but St. Pius X had to settle for second. They fell 8-5 to the Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-1 loss back in April.

Aubri Hooee was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. Jordan Chavez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

St. Pius X now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Lovington, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.

As of now, neither St. Pius X nor Lovington have any future games scheduled.
