Basketball Recap: Middle Township Makes It Nine in a Row at Home

On Sunday, in a tight game that could have gone either way, the Middle Township Panthers made off with a 42-41 win over the Holy Cross Lancers. The 42-point effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Middle Township had a senior duo take command as Amir Elston went 5 for 11 on his way to 14 points and Jamir McNeil posted 13 points and seven rebounds.

Middle Township's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for Holy Cross, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-1.
