Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Midland Christian). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Fort Worth Christian Cardinals a 21-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Midland Christian got a massive performance out of Annie Munoz, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI Munoz has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nevaeh Williams, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI.

Munoz wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Midland Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 25 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in nine consecutive contests.

Midland Christian's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Fort Worth Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Midland Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against Fort Worth Christian: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
