Basketball Recap: Long Gets the Win

Long proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 20) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Wicksburg Panthers 47-45. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 64-56 back in November.

Long's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Wicksburg, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Long will venture away from home to square off against Elba at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wicksburg, they are taking a road trip to challenge Geneva County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wicksburg is facing Geneva County at the right time seeing as Geneva County is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
