Softball Recap: Bayard Tigers vs. Hershey Panthers        
        
		
             Bayard hadn't done well against Hershey recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday. The Bayard Tigers won by a  run and slipped past the Hershey Panthers  6-5. This was a revenge  matchup for the Tigers, as the team was forced to settle for  a  4-0 loss when these two played  on Tuesday.
 The team  relied heavily on  Jenna Flores, who  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  triple. The team also got some help courtesy of  Shayleigh West, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
 Bayard's victory  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 9-10-1. As for Hershey,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games  and leaves them with a 9-12 record.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bayard will take on Chase County on Saturday. Bayard is facing Chase County at the right time seeing as Chase County is stuck on  an  18-game losing streak. As for Hershey, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Gothenburg on Tuesday.
