Basketball Game Preview: Banning Broncos vs. Azusa Aztecs

The Banning Broncos will face off against the Azusa Aztecs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Banning knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Azusa likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Banning humbled Cathedral City with a 75-35 victory. The Broncos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Banning had a senior duo take command as Earl Dunahoo posted 18 points and Junior Dunahoo put up 16 points. Another player making a difference was Anthony Jackson, who had eight points.

Meanwhile, Azusa came up short against Nogales last Tuesday and fell 56-45. The Aztecs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Banning has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.8 points. As for Azusa, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.
