Softball Recap: Preston Victorious

Preston won the last time they faced Canyon Ridge and things went their way on Friday too. The Preston Indians came out on top against the Canyon Ridge Riverhawks by a score of 15-10. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Tylee Archibald made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Archibald was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Brielle Biggs was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Dunn, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Preston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .697. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Canyon Ridge only posted an OBP of .500.

Preston's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Canyon Ridge, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Preston is taking a road trip to take on Kuna at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Canyon Ridge, they will be playing at home against Hillcrest at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
