Basketball Recap: Tenoroc Takes a Loss

Tenoroc lost against Lake Region back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Tenoroc Titans fell 62-55 to the Lake Region Thunder. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Tenoroc lost, don't look at Amir Rathore. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points. The matchup was Rathore's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Julian Graham, who earned 11 points.

Lake Region got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaden McCoy out in front who went 5 for 6 en route to 16 points and four steals. Julien Huggins also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steals of the season.

Tenoroc's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-7. As for Lake Region, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-16.

Tenoroc has already played their next game, a 56-32 loss against George Jenkins on the 23rd. As for Lake Region, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-41 victory against Fort Meade on the 23rd.
