Bear Creek is a perfect 10-0 against Franklin since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bruins will challenge the Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bear Creek has seven straight wins, Franklin has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Bear Creek gave up the first runs last Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Edison by a score of 6-1.

Natalie Trujillo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Amiyah Owens was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Maloy, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Bear Creek hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Franklin came up short against Weston Ranch on Thursday and fell 8-3.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Bear Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.

Bear Creek took their win against Franklin in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 22-1 score. Will the Bruins repeat their success, or do the Yellowjackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
