Basketball Recap: Poplar Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Poplar can now relate to. They fell 51-39 to the Fairfield Eagles on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Eagles are ranked ninth).

Poplar's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Fairfield, their victory bumped their record up to 20-1.

Poplar does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fairfield, they will face off against Malta at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Malta will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Fairfield surely won't give up without a fight.
