Volleyball Recap: Clinton Christian Academy Comes Up Short on the Road Against Winston Academy

Clinton Christian Academy had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Winston Academy Patriots. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-10, 25-19.

Maggie Burns was nothing short of spectacular for Winston Academy: she had ten aces and three digs. That's the most aces Burns has posted since back in August of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Winston Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Coincidentally, Clinton Christian Academy and Winston Academy will both be playing Heritage Academy the next time they take the court. The Patriots will head out to face the Patriots at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
