After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Creighton Prep, Lincoln North Star was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Lincoln Southeast Knights with a sharp 13-3 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Navigators considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Preston Graff spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Easton Wesslund was incredible, going 4-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sam Schaefer, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Lincoln North Star hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive games.

Lincoln North Star pushed their record up to 10-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Lincoln Southeast, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

As for Lincoln Southeast, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-2 defeat against Columbus on the 29th.
