Baseball Recap: Firth Cougars vs. Snake River Panthers
After flying high against West Jefferson last Thursday, Firth came back down to earth. The Firth Cougars took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Snake River Panthers on Saturday. It was the first time this season that Firth let down their fans at home.
Firth saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayden Hutchings, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Firth's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-6. As for Snake River, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Firth will challenge Salmon at 4:10 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Snake River, they will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against South Fremont at 4:00 p.m.
